The SWCD serves the residential community for such things as pond site evaluations, pond management, riparian (stream-side) area planning, and drainage evaluations.  Our staff also reviews development plans and sites for potential natural resources related problems.

Additionally, the SWCD is responsible for conducting drainage protection reviews on 5+ acres lots, lot splits, and no-plat subdivisions.  These reviews look at the effects new development will have on existing drainage, and, if necessary, require mitigation.
